The AsSALT Tour is a radical extreme sports event that helped spread an uplifting message of hope to today’s hard to reach youth. This venture is a division of Stephen Baldwin’s Global Breakthrough, a powerful thrust that aims to pierce the darkened hearts of today’s youth with the truth. This day-long event, dubbed the AsSALT Tour, features live action sports and musical performances, and is hosted by Hollywood’s Stephen Baldwin, the youngest of the Baldwin brothers acting clan.
The AsSALT Tour features performances by some of the extreme sports world’s most legendary athletes defying the laws of gravity. The tour included performances from icons such as: Skateboarding legends Christian Hosoi, Lance Mountain and Steve Caballero; Freestyle BMX – Dew Tour medalist, Mike Mancuso; Motocross – 2007 X-Games medalist, Kyle Loza; Element pro skateboarder – Chad Tim Tim; Birdhouse pro skateboarder – Brian Sumner; and Foundations skateboards pro – Sierra Fellers and many others. A pre-event car show, high energy hip-hop performances, eye-popping laser lights and special effects, and multimedia entertainment displayed on jumbotrons.
Geared towards youths 13 through 30, many of which are troubled individuals; the Breakthrough Ministry’s challenge was to reach out and communicate in a way that would grab their attention. Being cool was important, we decided to capture the style of the grunge music genre that influenced and inspired the street style fashion of the skateboarders and other extreme sport individuals.
